The Self-governing body of Nomgon soum has requested the CREC to organize training in compensatory conservation of rangeland. The training was organized in basic understanding of biodiversity offsets, policy on biodiversity offsets, impacts of mining on the rangeland, protection customary rights of herders, and methodology of rangeland offset. The members of the local parliament and government officials of the soum participated in the training. The participants of the training agreed to submit the methodology of rangeland offset developed by CREC to Self-governing body of the soum for approval.
